Herbert Morton has operated in Cambridge since October 1985. The name Herbert Morton derives from the two founding partners of the business. They are Keith Herbert and Peter Morton. In 2006 Lorraine Cruickshank joined Keith and Peter to become a partner in the firm.

We have 16 team members in our Cambridge office and 5 team members in our Carterton office, many of whom have been with the firm in excess of 10 years.

NZICA Member
Herbert Morton Ltd is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA). Membership is limited to Chartered Accountant who hold a current certificate of Public Practice (CPP).
As an NZICA member we are required to comply with various requirements and must be able to demonstrate at all times that our actions, behaviour and conduct comply with the Code of Ethics.
We are subject to a Practice Review procedure to ensure these standards are maintained.
Approved Training Organisation
Herbert Morton Ltd is an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) which means we are able to provide a programme of practical experience that provides trainees with the opportunities to gain the practical experience required to gain admission to the College of Chartered Accountants with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand.
We also provide attractive job opportunities from time to time within the firm for students leaving school who are keen to pursue the accountancy profession by offering apprenticeship type positions to the right applicants.
